Le Pas dans le Vide, a unique experience in Chamonix

Since December 21 , thrill’s lovers can enjoy a new attraction at the Aiguille du Midi

The site of the Aiguille du Midi is a classic of Chamonix. The site of the Aiguille du Midi is the starting point for many hikes in the mountains, including climbing Mont Blanc. This rocky outcrop which rises up to 3842 m has a worldwide reputation and ” Le Pas dans le Vide” allows us to live this grand panorama intensely .  The current cable car, the Aiguille du Midi, was built between 1951-1955 .

Since it is a transparent platform, it is now possible to admire the peaks of Mont Blanc with the amazing feeling of being in space, with over 1000m under the feet  . The “Le Pas dans le Vide” allows visitors to be suspended in the air and enjoy magnificent landscapes … A live safely experience.

Work began  more than two years , during the fall of 2011. The “Le Pas dans le Vide” is made of a metal frame with 5 glass plates , composed of 3 layers of tempered glass 12mm thickness that are totally unbreakable.
